Avalon Boulevard Update for Jan. 9

CHIPLEY — The Florida Department of Transportation is providing a weekly update on the Avalon Boulevard multilane projects in Milton.  • U.S. 90 to Commerce Road: Crews continue side street paving operations and completion of miscellaneous activities throughout the project. Drivers could expect daytime intermittent lane restrictions between Commerce Road and U.S. 90. Estimated completion winter 2013. • North of CSX Railroad Bridge to south of Commerce Road: Weather permitting; crews from Panhandle Grading & Paving will begin performing asphalt work. Drivers can expect intermittent and alternating daytime lane closures. Estimated completion winter 2013. • South of Moors Lodge to CSX Railroad: Crews continue work on the access road. No planned lane closures at this time. Estimated completion fall 2013. • I-10 to south of the Moors Lodge: During the next two weeks crews, will be placing the structural course on the new southbound roadway. Workers continue sidewalk construction and curb and gutter tie-ins at various locations between San Juan Street and San Pablo Street. Northbound bridgework continues. Estimated completion fall 2013.
