A ten-year-old Pensacola boy is dead following an accidental hanging Tuesday.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office released information saying Brandon L. Bickley was found hanging from a tree by neighbors in the 6300 block of Denver Ave. just after 5 p.m.
An adult who found him cut the rope and CPR was performed on the child. EMS responded to the scene, along with sheriff's deputies.
The boy was transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.
Deputies say the boy was playing with a rope tied to a tree in a vacant lot earlier in the day.
No foul play is suspected. The death has been ruled accidental.
