Nancy Lake from Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital will be at the Milton Library on Fridays in April from 10 a.m. – noon to meet with families and assist them with enrolling in Florida KidCare. Florida KidCare is the State of Florida’s high-quality, low-cost health insurance for children from birth through age 18.
Your child may be eligible for health insurance through Florida KidCare, even if one or both parents are working. Eligibility for Florida KidCare is based on income and family size. Monthly premiums also depend on household size and income; however most families pay $15 or $20 a month.
Children with health insurance are more likely to get the help they need when sick or hurt, get the shots they need, miss fewer days or school, and see their own doctor and nurse who know them. Whether you are working, training for a new job, going to school, or staying home with your child, Florida KidCare can help you keep your children healthy.
