Every Wednesday and Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., Barnes & Noble hosts a free storytime designed for children ages two through seven. Everyone is welcome to join as we sing, dance, read stories and do arts and crafts. Watch the calendar for special storytimes, which can include pajama days, dress-up storytimes, and visits from our favorite storybook characters.
Upcoming stories include:
Aug 24th: “Dr. Seuss’s ABC Book”- An alphabet book with zany drawings and nonsensical verse provides an entertaining way for small children to learn the letters and their sounds.
Aug 28th: “Splat and the Cool School Trip”- Splat is so excited when Mrs. Wimpydimple announces that the class is going to the zoo. Splat only wants to see the penguins because they are black and white, just like Splat!
Aug 31st: “Pete the Cat- The Wheels on the Bus”- Join Pete as he rides on the bus to school with his friends and hears all the different sounds a bus makes as it drives.
Sept 4th: “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”- "A told B, and B told C, I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree." In this lively alphabet rhyme, all the letters of the alphabet race each other up the coconut tree.
Sept 7th: Special Costume Character “Madeline”- The classic children’s story comes to life as Madeline visits Barnes & Noble. Make sure you bring a camera as Madeline will be taking pictures and signing books for all.
