UWF announces recruitment referral program

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Dec. 3, 2013 – The University of West Florida recently developed the Future Argonaut Referral (FAR) Program in an effort to further involve faculty, staff, current students, alumni, and friends of the University as part of the undergraduate recruitment process.

Prospective students referred through the program will receive admissions materials appropriate for their high school graduation year, and for students that have not applied, an application fee waiver.

“This is a great way to get our campus community engaged in recruitment efforts,” said President Judy Bense. “We all know students who would do well as Argonauts and now there is an incentive for referring these students. I think it will be a worthwhile initiative and I look forward to the results.”

Referrals are accepted for students in their first year of high school through the fall semester of their senior year.

Additional information including an overview of the program, a list of frequently asked questions and the referral form is located at uwf.edu/futureargo.
