Santa Rosa Sheriff: Don't bring drugs to school

Release by Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office

On 8/19/13, Lisa Ann Anderson drove a friend to register a child at Central High School in Milton FL. What Anderson did not know was a School Resource Officer was on Patrol at the School. This was the first day of school for Santa Rosa County.

One of many responsibilities of a School Resource Officer includes parking lot security and the detection of contraband on school grounds. What the Deputy discovered when he walked past Andersons vehicle was a large bag of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in plain view. The Deputy waited and subsequently made contact with the vehicle owner.

The bag of marijuana weighed in at 96 grams, which is considered a third degree Felony. Anderson was questioned and then arrested. She was transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail and placed on $5000.00 bond.
