For the past 13 years, people from all over this area and extended areas have made their way to Olivet Baptist Church on Good Friday to enjoy the great southern and trational gospel music that is enjoyed by all each year.
This year is no different, as many will make their way to Olivet Baptist Church, 5240 Dogwood Drive, Milton, FL, on Friday, March 29, at 7:00 PM, when the 14TH Annual Good Friday Gospel Concert will be presented. Featured artist will be the host artists – The Hendersons, Milton, and Dan Kirkland, Pace, FL, with special guests, Rick MaHarry & Judah, from Bagdad, FL
The Hendersons, who travel extensively, ministering in song for the past 24+ years, consists of Sonny Henderson, of Milton, his daughter, Lydia Henderson, of Pensacola, FL. Joining The Hendersons for this special event will be Sonny & Marie’s oldest daughter, Linda Henderson George,, from Temple, GA, Sonny’s wife, Marie, travels with them and serves as sound technician in concerts.
They have released their 8th recording on CD, “Something Old, Something New” and will have them available at the concert, along with their other recordings. . The Hendersons sing primarily Southern and traditional Gospel. Their newest release to radio is “just Like That” from this newest project.
Dan Kirkland travels and sings and is well known in this area, has several recorded projects. Dan is well liked for his “down home” sound and he has a way of making the songs come to life and you will want to join in and sing with him. Dan also sings a good mix of Southern and traditional music.
Special guest singers, Rick MaHarry and Judah comes to this concert from Bagdad, FL, as Rick is an assocatiate pastor at Bagdad Assembly of God. Judah is made up of Rickey and his wife, Deborah, and their daughter,Mercedes. . They present a good selection of southern & traditional gospel music.. .
