A man previously convicted by a Santa Rosa County Jury of molestation and unnatural or lascivious acts has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, followed by lifetime probation, according to the State Attorney's Office.

Michael Hayes, 23, of Denver, was arrested by the Thornton, Colo. Police Department following an investigation by Okaloosa and Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Offices and Thornton Police.

Hayes molested and photographed a 9-year-old girl during a game of Truth or Dare during the summer of 2011 at a condo in Ft. Walton Beach. Hayes admitted to similar incidents, occurring at a Gulf Breeze residence.

An Okaloosa County jury convicted Hayes last Friday of lewd or lascivious molestation and lewd or lascivious conduct. Hayes has also been designated a sexual predator.

He was previously convicted by a Santa Rosa County jury in May on two counts of committing an unnatural and lascivious act and attempted lewd or lascivious molestation. He was sentenced to five years, followed by 10 years sex offender probation, for those offenses.

Circuit Judge John Brown sentenced Hayes to 25 years on Friday for lewd and lascivious molestation and lewd or lascivious conduct for the additional charges in Okaloosa County.
