Well-known Navy pilots are making a special landing to read to children. The Blue Angels will be at the Pensacola Barnes & Noble on Wednesday, June 12th, at 11 a.m. to read at story time. Everyone’s favorite Naval aviators will be spending the morning at the bookstore talking with children and having pictures taken.
The story the Blue Angels pilots will read is “Lucky the Blue Angel,” a great children’s book about a Navy jet that has dreams of becoming a Blue Angel. Written by former Navy pilot Robert Flynn, the story promises to inspire children to set their sights high.
In addition to listening to a story, the children will also be making paper airplanes to fly with the Blue Angel pilots. During this time, parents are welcome to take photos of the children and the pilots, so don’t forget your camera.
