Ron Hart: Al-Gore-Jazeera and his global gouging

Last week was one of many in the last few years that Al Gore regretted “inventing” the Internet.  He is catching a lot of heat (none of which can be regulated and taxed with carbon emissions control legislation) for selling out, figuratively and literally, to the big-oil, Middle Eastern potentate who owns Al-Jazeera. It’s yet another inconvenient truth in Gore’s life. Gore made a tidy $100 million selling his floundering Current TV at the end of 2012, right before Mr. “Pay Your Fair Share’s” taxes were scheduled to go up. Gore will keep the profits, unless the Supreme Court intervenes and gives the money to George Bush. When accused of attacking a masseuse, Gore maintained his innocence even as other women came forward to support the charge. The masseuse accused Gore, winner of the liberal Triple Crown (Nobel Prize, Grammy and Oscar), of inappropriate sexual behavior in his Beverly Hills hotel room before the Academy Awards. One masseuse who voted for Gore was talked out of pressing charges by her liberal friends. She told police Gore “had a dramatic display of violent temper as well as an extremely dictatorial commanding attitude besides his ‘Mr. Smiley Global Warming Concern’ persona.” It seems Gore left some of his carbon footprint on her outer garment. The creepy signs were there: the embarrassing kiss of wife Tipper on stage, then their divorce. When Al would hug a tree, he would grope and linger way too long. He was ticketed in Sweden for leaving his limo running during a speech on global warming. If the globe-trotting Gore wanted to reduce his Sasquatch-sized carbon footprint, he would do more by conference calls from his huge, energy-inefficient home in Nashville. I grew up near Carthage, Tenn., Gore’s hometown, and served on the Tennessee Board of Regents. Even then he was disliked, groomed solely for politics by his U.S. Senator daddy, who got him a cushy Vietnam-resume builder stint as a journalist. He took classes at Memphis State University and Vanderbilt to cover his political bases so he could run statewide. Most liberal Democrats start out with the high-minded and false premise of moral superiority and then set about enriching themselves and harming others via the body politic. Gore maintains that he is single-handedly saving the planet but feared that, when Tipper divorced him, he might only have enough money to save half the world. But to his credit, he got back on his crony capitalist horse and resumed shaking down corporate America. Google got Gore on board to buy political protection from the Dems. Global warming is the religion of the secular left, and Gore is their god. As is true with most religious zealots, no one can prove or disprove their dogma. They attack you personally if you try and attempt to win arguments by intimidation rather than facts. The jury is out on man-made global warming. Many of the self-serving scientists who proclaim it as fact have been discredited for faking data. Climate alarmists’ numbers have been massaged so much that Al Gore might instinctively drop his towel in front of them.
