The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Pensacola Police Department, Escambia County Road Prison, Florida Highway Patrol, Corry Station, Whiting Field, Pensacola Fire Department, and the N.A.S. Fire Department will once again battle it out on the softball field in the 3rd Annual Battle of the Badges softball game, September 28 at 8 a.m. The profits from his year’s tournament will benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters of NW Florida. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the area’s leader in one-to-one youth service for more than 18 years. They match caring, adult mentors with children ages six through 18 who come primarily from single-parent homes.
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to help children reach their potential by providing professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that have a measurable impact. They have proven success in developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of everyone involved – including the child, volunteer, families, and the community.
