In the wake of the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, the sporting world has reached out to try and comfort those navigating the aftermath. Lawrence Tynes, placekicker for the New York Giants and Milton High School alumni, welcomed groups of students, teachers and parents from Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 30. The event took place at the Giants’ Metlife Stadium before their game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
