Speak Out – May 29, 2013

My name is Gregory. I just found out the Muslim that shot all the soldiers in Fort Hood has still been collecting his salary. He's been paid over $300,000 and the Pentagon says there's no way they can stop it.

Plus, the guys that were shot can't get purple hearts because it's called workplace violence and not terrorism. And he still collects his checks as he's awaiting trial to the tune of over $300,000

Someone needs to call, I know I will be, my congressman, and find out, if not the pentagon, why this travesty is occurring.

This is Fran. Press Gazette, what is wrong with you? You don't report about people like Boo Weekly and Bubba Watson and others. We have wonderful people in our county who have made the headlines all over the county. And Boo still lives in our county. He just won a big tournament.

(Other newspapers) have had him at least five or six times the past week in their paper. He was just voted golfer of the month. He has been at the Wahoos baseball game. And I'm so upset with you. You just don't report on our county. And it's not old news.

Get off your duff and do something for people that are doing good things for our county and doing good things for charity.

Editor's note:  Although the people you mention are from this area, they are not as easy to reach as you might think. We left repeated messages with Boo's manager and on Facebook with no response. If you have a way to reach him, please let him know we would like to interview him. Conventional methods have not produced thus far. And thank you for your support of the Press Gazette. We are happy to know you value what goes into our only hometown newspaper.
