Blood Services in need for O negative, B negative, A negative donors

Officials at the Northwest Florida Blood Services are asking for specific blood donors due to increased demand at area hospitals. There is a need for donors with O negative, B negative and A negative blood.

They do advise, "If you have been told previously by Florida Blood Services or another blood center that you should never donate blood, you may not donate." If you recently made a blood donation, or if you have already scheduled an appointment to donate blood, please accept our thanks on behalf of the patients whose lives you may have touched.

To donate blood you must be at least 16 years old, weigh 110 lbs. and be in good health.
