Pensacola Sports Association Holds Fourth Annual Presidents’ Cup

The Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) announced today they will have their Fourth Annual Presidents’ Cup Golf Tournament on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013.  A shotgun start will begin at 1 p.m. at Tiger Point Golf Club. The tournament is open to the public. Registration is now available by calling the PSA office at 434-2800 or visiting www.pensacolasports.com. The entry fee, which includes golf cart, range balls, door prizes, lunch, Budweiser products, post round dinner, event polo golf shirts, and awards, is $100.

The format for this event will be four man best-ball, net the two lowest scores. Each player on each team will play the hole individually. At the end of the hole, the team records only the two lowest scores. If players on a four-person best-ball team shoot individual scores of 4, 5, 5, and 6, the team records only the 4 and 5 on its scorecard.

Founded in 1954, the PSA has had 55 Presidents, mostly serving one-year terms. The current president is Jodie Webb, owner of Logo Motion Marketing.  Pensacola State College Athletic Director Bill Hamilton is President-Elect. Each past president will form a team to play for the Presidents’ Cup, which will travel with the winning President for the next year until the 2014 Presidents’ Cup Golf Tournament. PSA member teams and other non-president teams will compete for a separate trophy and awards.

For more information or to register, please call 434-2800, or visit www.pensacolasports.com.
