No students injured in school bus crash

No students were injured when a cup of coffee distracted a school bus driver, resulting in a vehicle crash on Interstate 10.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says Bobbie T. Green, 47, Milton, was driving the bus headed for Capstone Academy in Milton around 8 a.m. The bus was traveling east, just east of Ward Basin Road on I10.  The bus was behind a 1995 Honda Accord drive by Frances L. Davis, 61, Pensacola, also traveling east.

Reports say Green was distracted inside the vehicle by a cup of coffee, causing the Santa Rosa County school bus to hit the Honda. Six students and a rider on the bus, Shawn Carter, 42, Milton, were not hurt. Davis is reported to have minor injuries.

Green was charged with careless driving, according to FHP.
