During January, Sacred Heart Health System will provide free heart-health screenings in Pensacola, Cantonment, Beulah and Bagdad for adults who are poor, elderly and uninsured. These screenings will measure blood pressure, blood sugar and total cholesterol, and can detect anemia. The screenings are helpful in diagnosing conditions that put people at high risk for heart attack, stroke, diabetes and other health problems.
In addition, free flu shots are available upon request while supplies last. These flu shots are primarily for adults who are poor, elderly and uninsured. Clients need to be 18 years old or older and, if pregnant, must have a doctor’s order with them to receive the vaccine.
