“Today, SB 320/HB 4001 to repeal the mandate that fuel available for sale in Florida be blended overwhelmingly passed the Florida Senate and is on its way to the Governor,” said Senator Greg Evers. “I commend my colleagues on their support in passing this good bill and thank Representative Matt Gaetz on his hard work and dedication in tackling this issue with me these last two years.
“The bill eliminates the unnecessary power of the government to force Florida citizens to buy and sell ethanol blended gasoline. It returns that power to the people and restores the power of the free market by giving consumers and retailers a choice regarding what fuel they wish to buy.
“The passage of this bill is a tremendous victory for Florida, and I am proud to have sponsored this good bill on behalf of my constituents and all of Florida.”
