Milton's Sons chapter inducts newest member

The Sons of the American Revolution inducted new member John Grove during its October meeting. Joining in the ceremony is vice president Ned France (left), president John Gillis, and presenting the certificate and pin is member Lonnie Jones.

The Aaron Snowden chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet in Milton  Nov. 18, at St. Mary’s Church on Oak Street. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The October meeting saw the induction of new members John Grove, Joshua Grove, and Gavin Grove. We welcomed Jim Furner, member coming from Maryland, David Hillsman, member coming from California, and Bill Pellerin from Pace, whose application is pending approval.

This month’s speaker is Bert Outlaw, who will talk about George Washington at Valley Forge.

The Sons of the American Revolution welcomes individuals throughout the year. The Sons of the American Revolution is a ‘lineal’ society, using your family tree to trace your relative to a point where they supported the cause of American independence.
