In the Neighborhood … with Santa Claus

Q: Please tell us what you do and what groups you are involved with. A: I deliver toys to every good little girl and boy on Christmas Eve, and I have a membership to the Cookie of the Month Club.

Q: What brings you to Santa Rosa County? A: I come to Santa Rosa County for the Christmas parades and to check up on all the good little girls and boys. I also come to deliver toys on Christmas Eve.

Q: If you had the power of a superhero, what power would that be and why? A: Ho, ho, ho! I don't want a superpower. I just want to spread Christmas cheer all year ’round.

Q: What did you want to be growing up and why? A: The secret to being Santa Claus is the fact that you never grow up. You keep the love and spirit of a child deep in your heart 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Q: Name three things you will always have in your refrigerator. A: Eggs, milk, and butter so Mrs. Claus can make the cookies I eat while at the North Pole.

Q: What would we hear on the radio of your car/truck during a road trip? A: Christmas carols, of course!

Q: What was the last book you read? A: I read Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” because it reminds me that Christmas spirit is somewhere deep inside of all of us.

Q: What is your favorite food and why? A: I love milk and cookies! I just can’t get enough of them.

Q: Where would your ideal vacation spot be? A: Christmas Island.

Q: Who, living or dead, has been the biggest influence on you, and why? A: Jesus has been my biggest influence because he loved everyone. It didn't matter they were rich or poor, sick or healthy, sinners or saints.

Q: What household chore do you hate and why? A: Cleaning up after the reindeer. Those little elves are always busy making toys, so someone has to do it.

Q: If you could talk to any historical figure over dinner, who would it be and why? A: I would want to talk to all the world leaders together to see what we can do to help those who suffer.

Q: If you had $50,000 to spend, what would you do with the money and why? You cannot say pay a bill. A: I would purchase more materials to make more toys to give away at Christmas time.
