Grandpa's First Christmas
Grandpa’s First Christmas, an original drama inspired by Paul Harvey’s classic Christmas short story, “The Man and the Birds,” will be presented by Bay Area Vineyard Church on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. in Milton. Grandpa Jake Wilson, also known as the Professor, doesn’t buy into the Christmas story about God coming to earth as a man. Foregoing the Christmas Eve service with his family, he has a life-changing encounter with some birds and his granddaughter. With just the right mixture of comedy, apologetics, and thought-provoking drama, playwright and pastor, Darrell Chatraw, has captured the wonder of the Christmas story. Admission is free and doors open at 6:45 p.m.. Bridges to Circles offering volunteer training
Catholic Charities Bridges to Circles initiative presents a four week training series that will equip volunteers to serve as an ally for family moving from poverty to self-sufficiency. The training will be held at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Ave Maria hall
