Lifeguard Ambulance Service is offering its fifth annual Home for the Holidays service on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This free ambulance transportation service provides local residents living in skilled nursing facilities with an opportunity to spend the holidays with their families. Often, these residents are unable to sit in a personal vehicle; therefore, a lack of specialized transportation separates them from their families on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. “The holiday season is always a special time for families, and this program allows Lifeguard to give a gift to the community,” said Jason Kimbrell, regional executive. “Over the past five years, we have been honored to help many families be together during the holidays. We are excited to continue offering this program to the Santa Rosa County community. Home for the Holidays is offered on a space-available basis between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Participants must be medically self-supporting while at the residence and will be left in the care of a responsible family member. Additionally, all transports must originate and end in Santa Rosa County. For more information about Lifeguard Ambulance, call 850.983.3000 or visit the website at www.lifeguardambulance.com.
