Brown, who took over his position just weeks before Hurricane Ivan struck, spoke about the new Museum Exhibits at Fort Pickens and gave the membership some insight on the magnitude of the responsibilities of the Countries largest National Seashore, encompassing 167 miles of seashore, 140,000 acres, and last year locally was visited by 5.6 million visitors. Not only are the vast waters protected but they also protect everything growing and living on its shores. Santa Rosa Sunrise Kiwanis welcomes all to their 7 a.m. Wednesday meetings.
