Pace woman dies in Sunday morning wreck

A Pace woman died as the result of injuries she sustained in a early Sunday morning accident at the intersection of Highway 90 and Woodbine Rd. in Pace.

Angela Long, 49, died after the vehicle she was driving was struck as it attempted to turn left from Woodbine Rd. onto Highway 90 in an easterly direction.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Parham Booker, 46, of Pace was headed west on Highway 90 when he failed to observe the red traffic light and struck the Long vehicle as it attempted its turn.

Long’s car came to a final stop off the road, while Booker’s vehicle continued west and struck a car driven by Lynn Westlake, 59, of Pensacola and a truck driven by Matthew Justison, 34 of Pensacola.

Westlake sustained minor injuries and was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital, while Justison and his three passengers did not sustain any injuries.

According to the FHP press released charges related to the accident are pending as are alcohol test results on Booker and Long.

Due to the accident Highway 90 east bound was shut down for approximately two hours Sunday morning.
