Thursday, 7:06 a.m. I just read in Speak Out and just wanted to know if it was true that kids were drinking on a school bus after a football game in Fort Walton Beach. Mr. Wyrosdick what are you teaching these kids and who supplied the alcohol to these kids. If this is true they should have suspended the team for the rest of the season. This is outrageous. Are they 21 and if they are how are they playing football. Wake up Santa Rosa and way to go. Editor's note: The person who posted last Thursday, late, was reportedly referring to the homecoming game and there was no bus trip afterwards. We cannot get any further details since all parties involved are minors. The homecoming game was when Milton hosted Gulf Breeze. We are assuming it was a Milton game since Pace or Jay did not play Fort Walton Beach.
Wednesday, 5:38 p.m. There is no doubt that a couple of speak outs in Wednesday's paper are from Pace fans. Yes there was some misconduct from MHS students and yes they were suspended and disciplined for their actions. It was not the whole football team. But if you want to start throwing stones, lets not forget the Pace baseball team breaking and entering, stealing things, and then running from police. They were not kicked off the team and got to play for the state title. So remember Pace, he who is without sin cast the first stone and please don't be sore loosers. Editor's note: The comments about the Milton incident came in on Thursday before the football game was played on Friday.
Thursday, 4:48 p.m. This is Fran. I think on of your reporters needs to do more investigating on the high school. Kids that got drunk haven't missed anything, especially games. Three girls in the band had a party on Saturday. One of them was 16 and this was the only time her mom could give her a party so she missed one of the competitions. They now have to apologize to the band, don't get to play on Friday, and have to work in the concession stand. Something is wrong when drunks can get away with it, but kids who do nothing wrong gets punished. You need to investigate this.
Wednesday, 4:35 p.m. Yeah this is Bobby. I just had a though about outsourcing. It is in the news a lot lately with claims that Romney outsourced something to another country. The same people that are badmouthing Romney are driving foreign cars. If you are against outsourcing you shouldn't be driving a foreign car, purchasing a foreign tractor, or buying anything from another country. If you do this then you are outsourcing. You are outsourcing your purchase to another country. Outsourcing covers a lot of things. Thank you.
Wednesday, 12:36 p.m. Good afternoon, Billy Rogers up here in Blackwater. I would like for all the real sportsmen who will kill a doe deer with small babies to know they have managed to critically wound at least four young doe deer that I can see. To of which have little babies. Most likely these deer will die from infection and them as well as their babies will be eaten by the coyotes. Real sportsmen have crippled four deer and left them for dead. It is pitiful to even call them a sportsman. Thank you very much.
Monday, 10:25 p.m. Hi, it is pretty bad with the Press Gazette anymore. First off you have to pay almost 80-cents for it and if it is not in the first couple of pages there is nothing to it but ads. That really helps the dollar value of your paper. You need more reporters and go out and find more information and news. We are sure not getting it with our newspaper now. Thank you. Editor's note: I invite you to call me at 623-2120 to talk about this to see where you feel we are falling short on covering Santa Rosa County.
Monday, 5:08 p.m. Yeah, I would like to sere what post the Press Gazette could do or put in the Press Gazette so the people in Pensacola could see about this little cemetery that is in very bad shape. I have never seen anything about this cemetery, only St. Michael's and St. Johns. This is a little cemetery that is in bad shape with lots of weeds, stone, and overgrown areas. Maybe the Mayor of Pensacola have people that he could work with and volunteer with so this cemetery could get a facelift. I am sure the volunteers and the city want to keep Pensacola pretty and clean.
Monday, 8:18 a.m. Hi my name is Jane. This is in response to Billy Rogers. I agree with you hunters have become very irresponsible and very disrespectful towards nature. You will probably find hunters have no respect for anything or anyone. All they think about is to kill. In order to solve this problem the Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife should raise license fees to limit the number of hunters in our woods. Thank you for letting me speak out.
