According to Representative Mike Hill’s office, 108 individuals from various churches in Santa Rosa and Escambia County gathered at Pace Assembly of God to pray for America. The “Call to Prayer for America” Proclamation was initiated by the Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation. The intention being to unite local, state, and congressional leaders, as
well as religious leaders and citizens under the decision to call our Nation back to our Founding Father’s belief in “One Nation Under God”, one nation founded on prayer. A press release from Hill’s office said he brought this event to the State of Florida during the 2015 Legislative Session, as Chairman of the 2015-2016 Legislative Prayer Caucus. He collected the signatures of the whole Executive Cabinet, some members of the Florida House of Representatives, and a few senators. He has now brought the Proclamation to the Pensacola Area and has invited members of the community to share in this historical.
