Two Santa Rosa County teenagers were killed in two separate traffic incidents over the weekend. While Aubree D. Manapat Kramer, age 17 of Pace, died as a result of a vehicle collision on Saturday morning, Jay resident David T. Palmer, also age 17, died in the early morning hours on Sunday after his vehicle went down an embankment.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kramer was pronounced dead on scene after riding as a passenger in a vehicle traveling south on State Road 281. In the report, the vehicle she was riding in crossed the center line, entered the northbound lane of travel and struck the front left side of a vehicle traveling northbound on the same road.
Charges are still pending in this investigation, according to FHP.
Palmer was also pronounced dead on scene after his vehicle went down an embankment on Bragg Lake Road in Jay. According to FHP, Palmer’s vehicle failed to negotiate the right hand curve and his vehicle began rotate clockwise before going down the embankment.
According to the report, the incident occurred between 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. The exact time has yet to be determined.
