The Santa Rosa Education Foundation, a nonprofit support corporation for the Santa Rosa County School District, was recently awarded $25,000 by AT&T Aspire at this week’s SRCSD school board meeting. The funds will be used to support a Career Ops program for 9th through12th grade students, according to a press release from the school district.

The funding will allow the school district to provide select students with experiences in various local industries.

“It will also increase their awareness of employment opportunities and the education and training required for them to be competitive in the workplace following graduation,” the release stated. “Career specialists will encourage the students to stay in school and help them formulate plans to prepare for careers in their chosen fields.”
