Santa Rosa Art Association

Santa Rosa Art Association meets Saturday, September 26 at the PensacolaState College/ Milton Campus building 4900 from 9 a.m. to noon. All artist are invited to attend and bring projects for show and tell. Award winning Artist Heather Mitchell will demonstrate the art of Scratchboard. The yearly dues are $30 and $10 for students grades 7-12.

Santa Rosa County Fair

The Santa Rosa County Fair Association needs volunteers. The group meets the 3rd Tuesday every month at the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce building at 6 p.m. For more information email jade_starr78@yahoo.com.

Navarre Garden Club

The Navarre Garden Club's "Landscape Design Series" will begin Oct.12.  The six part series will continue until Dec. 7th.  Classes will be held at the Elks Lodge from 10 a. m. to 1 p.m.  with 2 evening classes from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

This series is an overview of landscape design principles.  It is for individuals who want a new landscape plan or those who want to make changes.  Classes will encompass  general style, hardscapes, irrigation, trees and bushes, lawns and beds, and specialty garden.   Each class will consist of 1½ hour lecture with a 45 minute hands-on workshop working on your design.

Cost is $20 for an individual class or $90 for the series of 6 classes.  Couples wishing to attend pay half price for the partner.  For more information or to register call Ginger at 396-5494 or hort@navarregardenclub.org.

The club will again sponsor "Santa's Workshop Craft Fair" on Nov 21 at the NavarreConferenceCenter from 9-3.  We are inviting anyone who wishes to offer goods for sale to reserve a table inside, or a booth the size for a tent outside.  The inside 5' tables are available for $40 and 6' tables for $45.  The outside spaces are available for $40 and will accommodate a 10'x10' tent.  For more information and applications, please call Ginger at 396-5494, or email geisele@mchsi.com.

Santa Rosa Adult School now holding classes

Santa RosaAdultSchool is offering adult education classes, including adult high school completion, adult basic education, and GED® preparation now. We also offer adult English Language classes. For the low tuition fee of $30.00 per term, students may attend daytime classes in Milton or night classes in Navarre.  For the low tuition fee of $30.00 per term, students may attend classes in Milton, Pace, or Navarre. Both day and evening classes are provided, depending on the location. Enrollment is open enrollment so students can enroll at any time.  Call 983-5710 for details.

Milton High School Class of 1965 Reunion

The Milton High School (MHS) Class of 1965 is holding its 50th Class Reunion celebration on

October 16-18. This year, 2015, is also the 100th year celebration of MHS. If you are an alumni of the class of 1965 or know one, please call or text Janet Hamilton Raines 982-0431 for more details.

Munson School Reunion

The MunsonSchool reunion will be October 15 at Bear Lake Recreational Area from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be a covered dish meal. For more information call 957-4082.

Piecemakers Quilt Guild

The Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Milton will meet the 4th Monday, September 28 at 9:15 a.m. at the Santa RosaCountyLibrary, 5541 Alabama Street, Milton. The meeting is open to anyone interested in quilting. Each month the guild has a program and/or a sit and sew following the event.
