Beating the heat

Firefighter Stephen Steele helped seven year old Angelique Quesenberry blast some targets with a 50 psi hose at the Milton FD open house. Steele said, “It’s a lot of fun. It gives (children) an idea.”

Saturday, the City of Milton Fire Department held fire prevention awareness festivals  and open houses with free food, games, entertainment, and photo opportunities with Pensacola Blue Wahoos mascot, Kazoo. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the fire house and get an up close and personal look at the trucks and equipment in which career firefighters are trained.

Milton’s open house consisted of vendors, free food, puppet show, games and a display of emergency medical equipment demonstrations.
