Santa Rosa Arts & Culture Foundation

The Santa Rosa Arts & Culture Foundation is searching for reindeers to escort Santa Claus in the 2nd Annual “Santa’s Reindeer Parade.” Children between the ages of 5-12 years old will be provided a reindeer antler headband and a jingle bell wrist band at no charge. Registration and parade route with instructions will be available at the Dragonfly Gallery at 6815 Caroline Street, Milton. The Dragonfly Gallery is open Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Register now to guarantee your child a place in the parade which is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 4. Genealogical Society of Santa Rosa

The Genealogical Society of Santa Rosa County will meet November 21st  at 10 a.m. at the Milton Public Library Meeting Room. Our speaker this month is Principal Chief of the Florida Tribe of Cherokee Indian Ken Johnson. Ken is a seventh generation native of Santa RosaCounty. For more information call 623-5160.

St. Mary’s Winter Arts and Crafts Show

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Arts and Crafts Fair will be November 21.  Hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 6849 Oak Street in Milton.  Vendors are still needed. For more information call 623-2905.

Retired Officers' Wives and Widows Association (ROWWA)

The Retired Officers' Wives and Widows Association (ROWWA) will meet Thursday, November 12, at The Bonefish Grill, 5025 N 12th Ave., Pensacola.  This month we celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.  The cost is $20 per person. Guests are invited to attend. Genealogy Seminar

The West Florida Genealogical Society will host nationally-known professional genealogist Mark Lowe at a seminar on Saturday, November 14 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., at WashingtonHigh School, 6000 College Pkwy, Pensacola.  Registration before October 31 is $35 for WFGS members and $40 for non-members.  After October 31 and onsite registration, 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on day of seminar is $40. Navarre Garden Club

UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County

          A one hour program on Citrus Canker will be presented on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Gulf Breeze Public Library located at 1060 Shoreline Drive in Gulf Breeze. Mary Derrick, Residential Horticulture Agent with UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County will present the program. The program is free and no registration is required. This informational session will discuss the symptoms of the disease, how to distinguish it from other citrus diseases, and recommendations for the homeowner.
