Dragonfly Art Gallery

A Dragonfly Holiday will be featured in the showcase room at the Dragonfly Gallery beginning November 17 and continuing through the end of December.  The Dragonfly artists have been creating holiday items especially for this exhibit.  This a special sale with a wide variety of artwork. The Dragonfly Gallery, located at 6815 Caroline Street is a mission of the Santa Rosa Arts and Culture Foundation.  It is a juried gallery of local artists.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.  For more information call 981-1100.

Granny Nannies

Granny Nannies is currently collecting blankets for its winter blanket drive for seniors through December 1. call 203-1670 to schedule a pick up.

Morning Glory Circle Milton Garden Club

Morning Glory Circle of the Milton Garden Club will have pies, cakes, cookies, breads and mums for the holidays for sale on November 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 5256 Alabama Street, Milton. Proceeds from the sale will benefit projects of the club. The poinsettia sale will be December 5 and 6. For more information call Lynn at 675-6744.

Milton Garden Club

The Milton Garden Club and Milton Chevrolet present a “Christmas Tour of Homes” Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6. Homes will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The tour begins at the Milton Garden Club located at 5256 Alabama Street in downtown Milton or you may join the tour at any of the four homes.  It is a self-guided tour at your leisure.  Tickets are $10 per person and are available from Milton Garden Club Members, Simply Southern Gifts or at the door on the days of the event.   Call 626-2003 for additional info.

Gulf Coast Calligraphy Guild

The Gulf Coast Calligraphy Guild will meet at the Courts of Praise Church on the corner of Johnson Ave. and North Davis Hwy. on Saturday, November 21, at 9:30 a.m.  The Calligraphy Guild is made up of members of all ages who love "beautiful writing" and are eager to share their art with others.  Beginners or those just interested in learning more are always welcomed.  A brief meeting is followed by an instruction period at each meeting.   For more information, call 994-7323.

Santa Rosa Art Association

The Santa Rosa Art Association meets Saturday, November 21 at the Pensacola State College Milton Campus in  Building 4900 at 9am.  Pastel Artist Elaine Woodward will demonstrate the art of pastel following the meeting. Pastels and paper will be needed for hands on participation.

Santa Rosa Arts & Culture Foundation

The Santa Rosa Arts & Culture Foundation is searching for reindeers to escort Santa Claus in the 2nd Annual “Santa’s Reindeer Parade.” Children between the ages of 5-12 years old will be provided a reindeer antler headband and a jingle bell wrist band at no charge. Registration and parade route with instructions will be available at the Dragonfly Gallery at 6815 Caroline Street, Milton. The Dragonfly Gallery is open Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Register now to guarantee your child a place in the parade which is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 4. Genealogical Society of Santa Rosa

The Genealogical Society of Santa Rosa County will meet November 21st  at 10 a.m. at the Milton Public Library Meeting Room. Our speaker this month is Principal Chief of the Florida Tribe of Cherokee Indian Ken Johnson. Ken is a seventh generation native of Santa RosaCounty. For more information call 623-5160.

St. Mary’s Winter Arts and Crafts Show

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Arts and Crafts Fair will be November 21.  Hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 6849 Oak Street in Milton.  Vendors are still needed. For more information call 623-2905.

PSC Barbershop

The Pensacola State College’s Barbering program is offering $4 haircuts from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. each Monday through Thursday at the Salon and Barbershop in Building 12 on the Pensacola Campus. No appointment is necessary. For more information call 484-2567.

Navarre Garden Club

The club will again sponsor "Santa's Workshop Craft Fair" on Nov 21 at the NavarreConferenceCenter from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  We are inviting anyone who wishes to offer goods for sale to reserve a table inside, or a booth the size for a tent outside.  The inside 5' tables are available for $40 and 6' tables for $45.  The outside spaces are available for $40 and will accommodate a 10'x10' tent.  For more information and applications, please call Ginger at 396-5494, or email geisele@mchsi.com.

UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County

           A one hour program on Citrus Canker will be presented on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Gulf Breeze Public Library located at 1060 Shoreline Drive in Gulf Breeze. Mary Derrick, Residential Horticulture Agent with UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County will present the program. The program is free and no registration is required. This informational session will discuss the symptoms of the disease, how to distinguish it from other citrus diseases, and recommendations for the homeowner.
