This is Raymond. Listening to the county commissioners meeting this morning a discussion on the proposed Pine Street judicial center location took place. One county commissioner promoting that side as being a fiscally responsible thing to do wanted to go ahead and vote on it. He did acknowledge it was in a flood plain or flood zone but by building up 10 to 12 feet one could overcome the flooding issue. Can you imagine the fiscal responsibility of building a courthouse 10 feet off the ground in a flood plain in a limited access with essentially no room for expansion? Where is the common sense? One has to wonder what the hidden agenda is there. I hope it was to get the issue moving and produce a no vote since he couldn’t really believe it was a fiscally responsible idea as he had reiterated a number of times.

This is Mary, a concerned senior citizen. They’re always talking about racism, something I never heard of until Obama was in office. Doesn’t it strike you strange that on every commercial or every story it’s only of two nationalities, the black and the white? Where are the other hundreds of nationalities on these commercials? We have Japanese, Mexicans, Spanish, my goodness, Chinese, Russians, Italians and so forth. So why don’t they have their turn on the commercials?

Thank you Speak Out for the opportunity. This is Ron on Garcon Point. The comments I see on Speak Out are so closed minded. The people realize how well an elevated courthouse could operate. In Pensacola, EscambiaCounty added to their courthouse with elevated parking for employees and some visitors and all the offices elevated by flood plain. No one’s going to be there during a flood anyway. There’s plenty of access, the road access from the jail and from Holt down Highway 90, from five-points and Brewton from Berryhill and that area, from Pace on highway 90 down I-10 and Garcon Point Road. The issues are easily defeated. Thank you.

Why don’t you just take Speak Out out of your paper and share your opinion because there are those of us that you are violating our civil rights by not printing what we put in the paper and that is taking away our freedom of speech so why don’t you take those out of the paper? You don’t print anything except crazy stuff. You don’t print anything that means anything, so why don’t you just take it out?

Yeah this is George. I’ve called in a couple times this morning on what you print and taking the Speak Out out. I’ve been a little bit harsh and I want to apologize for that. It seems to me the people can call in and complain about the county commissioners and name them, the city council members and name them, but if I call in about a congressman and senators and I don’t even name them, and me being a veteran and everything, it seems like you won’t print them because they’re against either anything democratic and it seems like what I mention you won’t print. This is something that needs to get out there because that’s the way us veterans feel and you just refuse to print things like that and I know it’s your jurisdiction whether you feel like you want to print them or not it just seems like I’m fighting a losing battle other people can call in with stupid crap and get it printed and I’ll call in with something that’s important somebody that’s trying to get somewhere that don’t need to be getting there and what the truth is. I’m sorry I don’t even know you so it’s nothing personal you know that.

Yeah this is Bobby. Just thought folks would like to know I went to Mobile yesterday and gas is 15 cents a gallon cheaper than it is here. Now the federal taxes are the same so it’s got to be either state or local taxes or greedy retailers, one of those. But that’s a lot of difference for 60 miles. Thank you.

Hi, this is Marie. It wasn’t that long ago that Obama said we don’t need to worry about ISIS since they are just JV amateurs. What a scary thought that our Commander In Chief doesn’t have a clue about anything. Thank you.
