UPDATE: One suspect arrested in Bagdad shooting

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Tahj Halique Jones, 17, of Milton. According to the sheriff's office, Jones is a suspect in Sunday's shooting in Bagdad which left one person dead, officers say Jones is possibly armed and considered dangerous.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office reports Tahj Halique Jones, the second suspect sought in Sunday's shooting, has turned himself into authorities on Monday evening and was placed under arrest at the Santa Rosa County Jail.

An investigation from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is ongoing following a shooting  in Bagdad on Sunday in which one person died as a result. Deputies already have Niquise Xzavon Slack, 17, of Milton in custody as a suspect and are searching for Tahj Halique Jones who is possibly armed and considered dangerous.

According to the SRSO, Raymond Allen Everett died as the result from the shooting incident which occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday at a residence on Woodville Road. Everett, 57, was one of two individuals seriously wounded in the shooting. Both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Investigators have not released the name of the other victim at this time.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone who has made contact with Jones to contact local law enforcement immediately.

 While the sheriff’s office will release more details as they becomes available, investigators are seeking additional information from residents in regards to the shooting.
