Pace Christmas Parade

The Pace Christmas Parade will be today, December 5 and begins at 1 p.m. at the PaceHigh School parking lot.

Dragonfly Art Gallery

The Dragonfly Gallery is highlighting their Christmas feature room with lots of original handmade items for sale for the holidays. The gallery is located in Milton at 6815 Caroline Street. Open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Register for lacrosse

Those interested in building a lacrosse team in Santa Rosa County need to register for PLAY (Pensacola Lacrosse Association for Youth). Even though this organization is stationed in Ensley on East Nine Mile Road it is worth the drive. Register online at Pensacolalacrosse.com, and if doing so, also register on USLacrosse.org. HelpMiltonHigh School get their lacrosse team and register for PLAY.

PSC Barbershop

The Pensacola State College’s Barbering program is offering $4 haircuts from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. each Monday through Thursday at the Salon and Barbershop in Building 12 on the Pensacola Campus. No appointment is necessary. For more information call 484-2567.

Bridge Group

Milton Garden Club

The Milton Garden Club and Milton Chevrolet present a “Christmas Tour of Homes” Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6. Homes will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The tour begins at the Milton Garden Club located at 5256 Alabama Street in downtown Milton or join the tour at any of the four homes.  It is a self-guided tour.  Tickets are $10 per person and are available from Milton Garden Club Members, Simply Southern Gifts or at the door on the days of the event.   Call 626-2003 for additional info.

Public Meeting Notice

Capstone Academy Milton Campus Charter School Board of Directors’ meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15 at 12:30 p.m. at Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Centers, 2912 North E Street, Pensacola.  Open to the public. Call 432-1596 for details.

UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County

           A one hour program on Citrus Canker will be presented on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Gulf Breeze Public Library located at 1060 Shoreline Drive in Gulf Breeze. Mary Derrick, Residential Horticulture Agent with UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County will present the program. The program is free and no registration is required. This informational session will discuss the symptoms of the disease, how to distinguish it from other citrus diseases, and recommendations for the homeowner.
