Two Milton residents died early Sunday morning after overturning on I-10 in Santa Rosa County.
According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Jaedesilyn Yvette McCray was driving east on I-10 at 3:13 a.m. in a 1998 Ford Expedition around the 19-mile marker when the right side tires traveled off the pavement and onto the grass shoulder.
McCray overcorrected and drove across the eastbound travel lanes before colliding with a temporary concrete barrier wall and overturning. Both McCray and her passenger, 34-year-old Brian Jerome Kennedy, were transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola where they died.
Neither was wearing a seatbelt, according to the release.
FHP determined alcohol was not related to the crash.
