A Milton man was killed in an auto accident Sunday morning at 5:40 a.m., according to reports from Florida Highway Patrol. Maurice Kent Martin, Jr., 34, was traveling east on Interstate 10 at the 21 mile marker when the car drifted onto the south shoulder. Reports said Martin over-corrected, causing the car to overturn and collide with concrete traffic barrier, causing the vehicle to come to a final rest on its roof in the outside lane. Reports said another vehicle, driven by Jenny Emma Gresens, 26, Pace, collided with Martin’s car and landed off the south shoulder where it impacted with several small trees. Gresens had minor injuries. Martin was not wearing a seatbelt and an investigation is pending as to whether alcohol was involved.
