The cold weather shelter for the homeless or heatless will now be open through Wednesday night, Jan. 13 at Ferris Hill Baptist Church, according to the Santa Rosa County Public Information Office. Arrival time at the shelter, located at 6848 Chaffin St. in Milton, is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. No one will be admitted after 8:30 p.m. unless brought in by law enforcement. The shelter closes at 7 a.m. the following morning.
