MILTON – Saturday, the nonprofit organization Reimagine Worldwide brought clothing, thousands of pounds of food, music, and an uplifting message to hundreds of people in need in Carpenter's Park. Reimagine Milton was the first event of the new year for Reimagine Worldwide, a project of Doers of the Word Ministry, a 501c3 organization, organized by Greg and Linda English.

Linda English said probably 15 to 20 churches came out to volunteer on a cold day. She said the purpose of the event was "just to be a blessing, to show the county the body of Christ can come together." The event also featured Christian music and spiritual teaching. Rapper Thomas "Eternal" Lewandowski performed and Roger Attaway with the band Risen spoke. Attaway demonstrated a metaphor of using a plastic bag to fill a broken cup. He said the Holy Spirit is "asking us that we all seek Him to be saved…Take your broken cup and not be defeated." English invited additional churches to take part in future events.

The Pensacola State College barber school participated as well giving free haircuts to anyone who wanted. School instructor Sherry McCrea said the "students do an awesome job. It's a great community event." She said PSC regularly takes part in Reimagine events.
