Jay Recreation

Jay recreation pre t-ball, t-ball, softball and baseball signup will happen Saturday, February 20th from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the JayHigh School gym. Open to ages 3 years to 12 years. Olivet Baptist Church Dental Bus

OlivetBaptistChurch on Dogwood Drive in Milton will arrive the week of March 7-11. Appointments are assigned on a first come first serve basis as appointment times are limited.

The Dental Bus provides services for fillings and extractions to those in the community needing dental assistance. In order to take advantage of the services, registrations must be made Monday, Feb. 22 beginning at 9 a.m. in Olivet Baptist’s Fellowship Hall, located on the north end of the campus. To register please bring an ID and a piece of mail for proof of residency. For more information, please call Olivet Baptist at 623-2780.

The Santa Rosa Art Association meets Saturday, February 27 at Pensacola State College Milton Campus, Building 4900. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. followed by Members Show and Tell and Acrylic demonstration by Dennis Boyce. The public is invited.

Warrior Ride Tour de Sunshine

The Warrior Ride® “Tour de Sunshine” – Opening Ceremony will be Thursday, February 25 at 9:30 a.m. at the VeteransMemorialPlaza in Downtown Milton. The community ride with the combat injured service members will be Saturday February 27 with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The Start/Finish Point is at Blackwater Bistro Downtown Milton. Read Across America

In honor of Read Across America, the Santa Rosa County Library System will host a special storytime and craft at all five libraries Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Volunteers from the Pensacola Little Theater will present the story at Gulf Breeze, Milton, Navarre and Pace Libraries. The story will be presented by Ms. Linda at the Jay Library. This program is free and open to the public. In consideration of all participants, programs will start promptly at the assigned times. The Compassionate Friends

The Pensacola Chapter of The Compassionate Friends invites bereaved parents, siblings, relatives and friends to register now for our Third Annual “Walk to Remember” Saturday, March 19th at 9 a.m. The local walk will be held at Pensacola State College Track (Main Campus).  Following the event there will be brief memorial service. You do not need to be a member of The Compassionate Friends to join with us and you do not need to walk the full walk. We welcome everyone who wants to join hands and hearts in remembering all children who have died too soon. Vegetable Gardening Series for Beginners

A workshop for beginner gardeners will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. beginning March 1 – 15 at the UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County, 6263 Dogwood Drive, Milton. Guy Thompson Community Center
