This Friday, NAS Whiting Field invites active duty personnel, Navy Leaguers, and Navy League community friends to the 2016 Sailor-of-the Year / Flight Instructor-of-the-Year recognition banquet. The event honors the top achieving sailor and flight instructor of the year and sees the election of the 2016 Navy League officers and board of directors.
According to a press release, Captain Todd A. Bahlau, Commanding Officer at NAS Whiting Field will be the speaker. “We can count on an interesting evening as Captain Bahlau shares his views on training young aviation warriors, the world today, and how our outstanding Sailors and Flight Instructors fit into this world-view.”
WHAT: Recognition Dinner
DINNER Choice of Chicken Marsala or Nouveau Roast Beef, Roasted New Potatoes, Lemon Broccoli, rolls, and deserts.
WHEN: Friday, 19 February, 6:30 p.m. Arrive. Social hour- 7 p.m. Present the Colors, Invocation, Introductions. Dinner- 8 p.m.
WHERE: Sikes Hall, U. S. Naval Air Station Whiting Field.
COST: Active Duty personnel – $20 each;
Sailors & Flight Instructors of the Year with Spouse/Date are invited as guests.
