Hello, This is Bill from Five Points. We got a big problem with traffic on Quintette going onto Woodbine. People just don’t stop. It is creating a big hazard. We can’t get anything done about it. Maybe if our new chief deputy would sit down with the media a little bit, we might be able to do some correction on that. Thank you.

Hello, Press Gazette. I had the occasion Tuesday night driving a younger friend and the Milton Police Department stopped him, we didn’t know why, but I have never had an encounter with the police before. I just wanted to speak out that these men were just as polite and kind as they could be. The friend was driving with a bright light on. We had been on a trip and we were tired. I guess he had let down on the rules of turning the lights off and on. Anyway, I just wanted to call about these police men were just so kind and courteous and polite. Never been stopped by the police before, I did not know what to expect. Chief Brand could be commended for these police, because they certainly do their job with kindness. Chief Brand said also that they have a lot of discretion, that they gave them complete discretion. They gave him a written warning, for having bright lights on, but I did not find anything offensive about it. We need to speak up for our police for what they do, because they are being mistreated everywhere. They are first providers for us. They are there for our protection. I have nothing but good to say about our Milton Police Department. Thank you, bye-bye.

Yeah this is Bobby. I keep hearing in the Speak Out column about natural born citizens being eligible to be the president, but you could be someone else in order to be a senator or something. Well that sounds to me like, they are saying you could be a naturalized citizen to be a senator or whatever, but a natural born citizen to me means that you are a citizen when you are born and Ted Cruz’s mother was an American citizen then he is an American citizen. It does not necessarily mean that they have to be born in the United States. If the parents are American citizens, I don’t know of the description that people think natural born means. I have never heard it described. Maybe someone smarter than us can describe it.
Yeah, This is Bobby again. People are always complaining about the roads and how they’re tearing their cars up. I was born and raised here in Santa RosaCounty. As far as I know, no road has ever torn my car up and the guy who called in about Hickory Hammock, Ward Basin and 87, I live on Ward Basin and drive on Hickory Hammock all of the time. He must be seeing something I am not or maybe he has a tender car or something. I haven’t had a bit of trouble. Thank you.

Yes, this is James, I would like to make a comment about the Press Gazette’s location back in the early 50’s. I delivered the Press Gazette for three cents for Tom Leonard when it was located across from the Baptist church in that building that is now a wrestling studio and that is first location of what I remember of the Press Gazette being in Milton. Then I remember it moved across from the courthouse. After the courthouse moved downtown, then Bill and them was a Goodyear recapping place, where they took the tires off and recapped them while you waited. So, I don’t know why y’all left that one out. That is the first recollection I have of the Press Gazette location in Milton. Thank you very much, goodbye.

Hello, my name is Dale. I read where the mayor is in real love with that Navy base out there. I guess I am too, but you know you got to take your life in your own hands to drive on Dogwood because of the political powers will not enforce the speed limits and the other rules of the road on Dogwood and those Navy boys are using Dogwood as a race track to get back out on that base. It is ridiculous when you have to take your life into your own hands on a city street for these fools will not slow down. I am not kidding you, it’s bad. It is about time that the mayor directed his police department to write a few tickets to some of these beloved Navy folks. Thank you for your time.

This is Mary, a concerned senior citizen. I am really surprised of the people of South Carolina who voted for Trump. He has made a lot of loud boastful promises which has a probability he will not be able to keep. The Carolinians who are mostly evangelical follow what they heard and not what they knew was right. They chose to vote for Trump rather than vote for Rubio or Cruz and Rubio and Cruz stood for spiritual and moral values which America needs today.

This is Tony the critic, in reference to the Church of Christ claiming that they are the church. If you are referencing the King James Bible which is the wrong place, wrong time. You state Matthew 16:18 ‘I will build my church.’ You claim he died in 33 AD. He does not say when he will build it. Thanks, bye
George, I was going to visit your church, but I have decided not to because you are adding to the Bible by providing a date of when God created his church and Jesus does not provide this date and it is a sin to add to or take away from the Bible. So, I will not be visiting anyway. Goodbye
