Speak Out March 2

This is Harold, retired military, this is for Bobby on natural born citizens. I would refer him to the 1790 Naturalization Act and all of the amendments there too. So Bobby if you have a computer, if not go to the library, and look up the 1790 Naturalization Act. Thank you.

Top of the morning to you, this is George. I want to speak about the new courthouse and they want it in Milton. I think that is a big mistake. One, is that the City of Milton has declared they will not help you if there is an accident in the city and so how could they get to the courthouse if they are not going to take care of you in the event of an accident. I think that needs to be reconsidered. God’s blessings, alright.

No one was killed in the tornado. The church should be full and our city and country should be on their hands and knees praising God just after 9/11. I believe God is giving us a final warning to use to us we need to take notice. Thank you.

Hi, this is Tony by the river. I want to say thank you for publishing Dan Stewart’s letter last week on Saturday. He made an excellent point about the risk of the new courthouse space by the river. Being flooded out myself, I know what he is talking about. This is a mistake to approve this site and it is going to be regretted time and time again. The county council members should put up their own money as bond to back this courthouse and pay for any damages that maybe occurred over the next 25 years. They are going to be substantial. Thank you.

Hi, a concerned citizen here.  Congratulations to our county commissioners for putting the courthouse in a flood zone. Plus for what I have heard some of the property is owned by the wife of a county commissioner. Flood zone, great place to put the building. Thank you.

In response to Bobby, I wanted to say if you work in the medical field you would realize your comment does not tell the whole story. We receive MVC patients all of the time who are properly driving in the right lane and are struck from behind even on the interstate due to speeding drivers not changing lanes in time or are not paying attention. I wish you could spend a few days in the trauma center and become more educated to the facts. Thanks.
