Santa RosaCounty's "Flicks on the Field," the successful outdoor movie series, will be held at sunset at the PARA football complex every Saturday night in April. Families are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a movie under the stars. Concessions will be available or moviegoers may bring their own picnic dinner.
The free community event, sponsored by the Santa Rosa County Parks Department, offers newly released family movies on a 43-foot screen starting at 7 p.m. on the fields of the PARA Football Complex located at 3536 Limbaugh Lane in Pace, approximately one-half mile north of the U.S. Hwy. 90 and Woodbine Road intersection. This year's lineup includes:
- Kung Fu Panda 3 tentative (G) – April 2
- Disney's Good Dinosaur (G) – April 9
- Peanuts The Movie (G) – April 16
- Minions (G) – April 23
- Jurassic World (PG 13) – April 30
Proceeds from "Flicks on the Field" will support the all-inclusive ADA expansion at Benny Russell Park, currently under construction, as well as a hiking loop and other future upgrades.
