Local beekeeper Bill Blankenship said swarming season is upon Santa Rosa County. As important as bees are to the environment, Blankenship advised everyone to contact a local beekeeper to safely remove a swarm rather than destroy it, especially since they create tasty, valuable honey. He also noted his various fruiting trees on his property are doing particularly well because of the bees he keeps there.
