MILTON — Santa Rosa County residents will observe the National Day of Prayer at noon on Thursday, May 5.
Attendees at the approximately 35-minute gathering on the courthouse lawn will demonstrate the right to gather, worship and pray to God.
This year’s theme — “Prayer is Wake Up, America” — emphasizes the need for people to return to God, a media release stated.
“To further highlight our theme, we’ve chosen Isaiah 58:1 as our scripture for this year: ‘Cry aloud; spare not; lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression,” the release states.
