MILTON — Here are the latest calls we received on Santa Rosa County and Milton area issues.
THEY KEEP RAISING TAXES
Yes, this is Bill. I am absolutely sick and tired of County Commissioners Layne Lynchard, and Bob Cole after they passed a 6-cent sales tax to fix our roads, saying that they want to support a 1-cent sales tax to fix our roads and the conditions of our highways in Santa Rosa County.
The 1-cent sales tax should be solely for building a new courthouse here in Santa Rosa County. Santa Rosa taxpayers need to get rid of these commissioners; they keep raising our taxes and fees for their constituents that (don’t) represent all Santa Rosa County taxpayers.
GET A DIFFERENT TICKET, SANDERS
Yeah, this is Bobby. In Saturday’s paper you got a column by Rick Holmes and he is talking about Hillary (Clinton) and Bernie (Sanders). He equates them as being the same, which they really are, but he said they said they will all get together and vote for whoever wins.
I’m sure they will, because there is no difference in them. (Sanders) admits he is socialist, and Hilary don’t admit it, but you can’t tell any difference between the two. Even the leader of the Democratic Party, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, couldn’t come up with any differences between them. Everyone keeps treating him like a kind old man, but he fits right in with the socialists in the world.
So, I don’t know how people could even vote for him or let him run in their party. He should have to run separately.
GOD PUT OBAMA IN AUTHORITY
This is Tony the critic calling in response to Mary, a concerned senior citizen. Mary, it seems like you are the one complaining all the time, especially about Obama, the man who God put in authority above us. I hope you get saved soon.
QUESTIONS FOR MRS. CLINTON
I am a Republican with questions for Mrs. Clinton: Why do you nod your head while talking like a Bobble Head figure in the back window of a pickup truck? Are you, Mrs. Clinton, embarrassed by the looks of your legs? Is that why you have never worn dresses? I am just a female Republican wondering about you.
HISTORICAL CHURCH BUILDINGS
This is Pat from Milton. I want to respond to the article or the call-in about the church renovations with state funds. Mount Pilgrim Missionary Church and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church both are on the historical register being 100 years old. This is why they are eligible for state funds.
