PENSACOLA — Sacred Heart Health System has appointed Roger Poitras as its chief strategy officer for the Gulf Coast.
Poitras will further the Health System’s efforts to provide high-quality, low-cost, person-centered care through pursuing partnerships and formulating growth strategies.
In his most recent role as president of the Sacred Heart Medical Group, Poitras’ leadership has brought about improved patient access to healthcare, strengthened physician leadership and expanded clinical services.
Since his arrival in 2014, the medical group has successfully recruited and employed more than 100 healthcare providers.
Poitras also has been instrumental in developing the Gulf Coast Medical Group, which integrates healthcare providers from Pascagoula, Miss., to Port St. Joe, Fla. The Gulf Coast Medical Group is part of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and nonprofit healthcare system.
