Santa Rosa Adult School receives $3000 Dollar General grant

MILTON — The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recently awarded Santa Rosa Adult School a $3000 grant to support youth literacy. This grant is part of more than $3.4 million the organization awarded to 915 recipients Aug. 28.

Awarded annually at the beginning of the academic school year inception, youth literacy grants help support teachers, schools and nonprofit organizations throughout the 44 states that Dollar General serves. 

Santa Rosa Adult School offers high school, adult basic education, adult high school completion, GED preparation, and adult English for Speakers of Other Languages. Grant funds will provide high-interest reading materials to supplement reading instruction and promote student reading engagement. For information about Santa Rosa Adult School, call 983-5710.
