MILTON — William T. Shurett has joined United Bank as vice president and Community Bank business lender. Shurett will be responsible for growing and maintaining small business relationships in the bank’s Santa Rosa and Florida Panhandle area.
Shurett — whose office is located in United Bank’s Milton Office on Berryhill Medical Park Drive — has spent more than 10 years in senior lending positions across the panhandle. His experience includes commercial lending and business development. He has been involved in the agribusiness banking sector since 2005 and also has community banking experience as a branch manager in central Georgia.
He is a 1986 business graduate of Georgia College in Milledgeville and completed Georgia Banking School in 2004 and Farm Credit University in 2006. From 1980 to 1984, he served the Air Force as part of the Military Airlift Command in Hawaii.
The Pace resident is a member of First United Methodist Church in Pace, where he serves on the Staff Parish Relations and Finance Committees. He is also a Pace Rotary member and has served on the Santa Rosa Farm Tour committee. Shurett and his wife, Rebecca, have one child.
“The addition of Bill Shurett to our Santa Rosa team demonstrates our commitment to the Northwest Florida markets,” Jones said. “Bill’s extensive background in commercial and agribusiness brings us more depth and provides an incredible resource for our small business and farm communities.”
